Service Dates: Service Opportunities Coming Up!
Any student looking for service ideas are always encouraged to call a local nursing home, soup kitchen, or food pantry to see if there are any ways in which you can volunteer to help at any of those.
*It is always nice to receive a card or a letter, so if you are looking for an idea of what to do, maybe you could make up some cards to drop off at the nursing home and spend some time talking with the residents!
*Also, I encourage teens to consider spending some time writing or making up a care package to one of the many men and women that serve our country as soldiers. If you are interested check out http://anysoldier.com/ for more information and feel free to either mail any letters or packages on your own or bring them in to the YM Office to be mailed out.
*Service Night! Friday, March 2nd! In the school cafeteria from 6:30-8:30pm... RSVP with Stephanie before hand, so we have a head count of everyone attending! Also, bring $2 for pizza and come hang out with some friends, while earning service hours.
*Catholic Charities - Bowling! Saturday, March 24th! Find sponsors to raise money for Catholic Charities and then come bowl with us from 2-5pm on March 24th! Contact Stephanie by March 9th to RSVP and find out more!
